Hi John, I'm in Texas and as the tourism adverts say, "It's a whole 'nuther
country," but I'll try answering your question anyway ;-).  I don't know
about custodians, but yes, I believe rent-a-cops would make their rounds.
Likewise, medical doctors, especially interns, "make rounds" in the early
morning usually to hospital patients to check on their status and write any
new orders that may be needed.
