Hi Yasuji,

I studied Japanese for two years and we had a lot of fun, because in fact,
in my native Flemish dialect, we use the particle "nè" in the same context
like in Japanese, and even its pronounciation is also absolutely EQUAL!!
This particle is in fact only heard in the west of the Dutch/Flemish spoken
area.
We say: " tè warm, nè?" (it's warm isn't it). The "nè" is exactly pronounced
like in Japanese.

Also, the short "eu" sound like in "boku wa" , we know also. Never heard a
language which has this similar short and quite hard sounding "eu".
"Tè van'neu"meaning "its yours" has the same "eu" sound like in Japanese.
This is of cours not an etymological matter.
