Hi Everyone,

I think I am starting to have some success in getting my posts through so I
would like to introduce myself.
I am an English Speaking South African engineer (Johannesburg)with for some
inexplicable reason, a fascination for Germanic Languages especially the
West Germanic Branch.
I have read several of the posts and find them extremely interesting and I
can see how the common interest has brought you all together and how you
find each others posts very stimulating as I do.
My interests are very general so I think I will have trouble making detailed
replies to some of the posts.

Looking forward to staying in contact.

Welcome to Lowlands-L and its podium!  It's nice of you to introduce 
yourself, and it sure is a pleasure to meet you.

Given your interests, seeing that you have obviously paid attention during 
your short tenure, and considering that you submitted a picture-perfect 
posting submission, I can see that this is the beginning of a beautiful 
friendship.

David, you do not need to limit your postings to replies.  Please feel free 
to ask questions as well.  If you think you have a "stupid" question, please 
ask it anyway.  We are not in the habit of laughing at people, and few 
questions are "stupid," anyway.
