If it's up to me I'd rather not change it. Thinking about it I realised the
change is not complete: eg. heart (hart) is just "art" with short vowel, so
not every -art- sequence is pronounced the same. Thus the spelling will
remain /aart/ versus /art/ :)

The plural of aand turns out to be ande, with short(er) vowel.
