Folks,

Our Kenneth sent me a copy of a Dutch appeal for votes on an initiative that 
seeks to make regional languages visible on postage stamps.  Apparently, the 
Netherlands' postal authorities have agreed.  Please find the text below.

Postzegelverkiezing


In 2002 heb ik TPG-post eens voorgesteld om via een postzegel aandacht te 
schenken aan de streektalen in Nederland. Mijn idee was om korte 
uitdrukkingen in de streektaal op een postzegel te vermelden, bijvoorbeeld: 
GOODGOAN (erg toepasselijk als je een brief verzendt, of nich dan). Na drie 
jaar kwam er reactie van TPG post: meedoen aan de postzegelverkiezing. 
Vijftien ontwerpen dingen mee om op een postzegel te worden afgedrukt, 
waaronder een postzegel met aandacht voor de streektaal, vijf ontwerpen 
zullen er uiteindelijk daadwerkelijk worden afgedrukt. We kunnen er met z’n 
allen voor zorgen dat het ontwerp m.b.t. de streektaal bij de TOP 5 hoort!


Maar, dan moet er wel gestemd worden! Ga voor 30 oktober 2005 naar:

en breng uw stem uit op de postzegel geheel rechtsonder.
