Bete Reinhard,
That reminds me and encourages me to push my luck as a social aspirer and
sommer ask you the following: I checked the List of Honour, and there I saw
the name 'Marcel' with name MAKE'EKUAPAPA.
Is there another person on the list with the name _Marcel_ or has the
Kahuna...? If the latter is the case: when was I snoozing & not noticing?
Groeten,
Marcel.

Well, Mark, thank me not, for I am a mere channel. The Kahuna was a bit
lethargic this morning (even though he says he did not attend a _lū'au_ last
night), but he finally got around to waving off your expressions of thanks
and announced that he has added you and another couple of deserving
Lowlanders to the honors list
(http://www.lowlands-l.net/treasures/kahuna.htm).
By the way, the earthly names of those who introduced themselves at the
anniversary site
(http://www.lowlands-l.net/anniversary/index.php?page=members ) appear as
links to the said introductions. Those whose earthly names appear in black
have yet to follow suit, thus serving as examples, as it behooves anyone in
the Assembly of the Honored.
This is what I meant by saying:
> Where there are none now, surely there will be in the foreseeable future.
Cheerio!

Reinhard, ik bedoel natuurlijk 'beSte'; 'bête' heeft ineens een heel andere
betekenis; ook in het Nederlands (ik haat tik- en spellingfouten!)
Groeten, Marcel.

Well, Marcel, take it as an attention test! You must have been snoozing
(twice) when I said that more names had been added.
There are quite a few new honorary names. If anyone feels entitled to one, I
suggest they look themselves up
(http://www.lowlands-l.net/treasures/kahuna.htm). If they do not find their
names, I suggest they nominate themselves or others. The Kahuna is always
willing to listen.
All people mentioned are "out." (I do not de-lurk lurkers, communicate with
them only off the List.) So if there were two vocal Marcels on the List I'd
have added the initial of the last name. Ergo: the Kahuna must have meant
you.
Having been made aware of self-doubts and confusion, the Kahuna has ordered
that family names be added.
Of course, the downside of being honored in this fashion is that the onus is
now on all recipients to conduct themselves not only as elders or honorary
elders within the Hall of Honor but also to lead others by example by
continuing to earn merit points. One way of doing so is to provide an
introduction for the anniversary project and to create or facilitate further
translations of the story. _Je suis désolé, mais ... eh oui, la noblesse
oblige._
Regards,
Reinhard/Ron
