But- they so often had to trek on after a while of living in a certain
region. There must be something with them that didn't/doesn't fit into
*normal* societies.
A friend of mine is a Mennonite member in South America. She's aged about 35
and in a certain distance to her clan, but still part of the community. She
told me strange things going on there, and a lot of money plays its part!
Once on TV I saw a Mennonite preacher acting like a hauler in his efforts
to recruit young people into the community; it was told that he got a head
money for every woman or man he could convince to become a Mennonite.
