Funny, in the Netherlands (and Belgium) it's the same, we
pronounce "Volkswagen" as if it were a Dutch in stead of a German name,
so ["f\OLksv\a:G@],  not ["fOlksva:gN]. In the Dutch language the
translation of 'people's car' can be 'volkswagen', so the word looks
Dutch, and we pronounce it that way.
