In Stellingwarf kennen we _nuver_ as
1. eigenaardig, zonderling, vreemd, "een nuvere Klaos" is een vreemd
heerschap.
2. leuk, aardig, "een nuver maegien" is een aardig meisje
3. in hoge mate, "et regent nuver", het regent (erg) hard.
En dan hewwe ok nog _vernuverd_ is verwonderd, verbaasd
zich _vernuveren_ is l. zich amuseren en 2. zich verwonderen

Et kan seins nuver lopen, ik vernuver mi'j d'r wel mit en vernuvere ie je
daor mar over!
