that they have many Gaelic words in their dialect, but where could I find a
good comparison between Lallands and Highlands?"

In fact, the Scottish highlanders speak good, clear standard English with
a slight
burr, unlike Scottish lowlanders who are frequently incomprehensible, even
when
trying to pronounce placenames such as Stirling ("Stellig" or something
similar).

  In my experience, Highlanders speak English much closer to Standard RP than
lowlanders, since they aqcuired it late in history as a foreign language. 
They
have an accent a bit like some Irish people.  I've never been aware of
many Gaelic
words; those that speak Gaeilic (not many on the Mainland) tend to keep the
languages separate, much as the Welsh do.

  Lowlands Scots by contrast has a history parallel to English, and going
back a
similar length of time.  Even when speaking Standard English, lowlanders
are often
much more heavily accented than Highlanders, and harder for many English
people to
understand.
