Subject: LL-L 'Culture' or 'Heritage' was Etymology

Dag julle,

My suster wys my gister daarop dat daar ook 'n tradisionele voetverwarmer hier
aan die suidpunt van Afrika bestaan het, naamlik 'n sogenaamde 'tessie', wat baie
moontlik die oorspronklike Engelse benaming was.  

Ons familie erfstukkie uit die Ooskaapse Tsitsikamma dateer uit circa.1890 en is
uit 'n blok geelhout (spes. Podocarpus) gekerf, vierkantig (30x 30cm), en met
vier gate bo en oop aan die voorkant waarin die emalje bakkie met warm kole
ingeskuif is.
