Dear list,

The news just gets more amazing! I'm sorry to be blocking up your inboxes
again, but this I had to share this ASAP.

This morning the surgeon who operated on him originally visited him in the
general ward to give him a look-over. The plan had been to have Mark come
home to recuperate, and then in a about 6 weeks go back for the reverse
colostomy operation. After looking him over, the surgeon said he has
recovered enough to have the operation _on Friday_, five weeks before they
were expecting to! (Which means he will G"W come home all fixed up next
week.) Amazing and wonderful.

Hi, Ruth!

No need to apologize.  I'm sure I'm not the only one who is keen on being kept up
to date on Mark's progress.

It's fantastic and wonderful news indeed! It's also good to know that Mark won't
have a permanent colostomy.

I'm sure I speak for everyone when I wish Mark good luck for Friday's surgery. 
Please give him our love.
