Ron,
I was just coming toward my house a few minutes ago, listening to a
radio program called "The World" of Public Radio International. I
heard a five minute segment on "Where is Frisian spoken?" It was
quite fascinating to me. A linguist named Frankena (if I recall
correctly) was the expert being interviewed. The told of Frisian
Public Radio that broadcasts among other things a pole vaulting
competition. I was pleased to hear this special feature.

Thanks for sharing that, Ron! Fantastic!

Onno P. Falkena?
I don't know if we can receive Public Radio International here in the
Pacific Northwest. I just checked (
www2.pri.org/publicsite/listeners/programlocator.asp), and the answer is
"yes." The website: www.pri.org/
I wish we could find a way of getting more media people interested in the
things we care about here.
Regards,
Reinhard/Ron
