Hi all,
I thought the origin of 'Hellinckx' might derive from the word 'helling' (A)
as in opposite to a flat area, similar to name such as Van der Heuvel?
Regards,
Elsie

Dear Jonny,
Some years ago I had some contacts with breeders in Schleswig-Holstein
and Lower Saxony (Lunenburg Heath and in the Buxtehude area). I do not
remember where I heard it but I wrote it down as a technical term which
I did not know before.
Reading your posting, I became curious about this term. In Google I
searched for 'Pferd' and 'Black' and found some articles, especially
about Quarter Horses and Paint Horses, for example this: "Genetisch
