Ã
When browsing web pages I often get squares in stead of characters.
I made a couple of printscreens (jpg files)and marked the squares:
Ã
1 for http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alphabet_international_africain
I get http://www.euro-support.be/tmp/cong/wik1.jpg
Ã
2 for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanskrit
I get http://www.euro-support.be/tmp/cong/wik2.jpg
Ã
Do other people get the same problem when retrieving these web pages?
Ã
At least some people must be able to retrieve these pages correctly.
I appreciate all suggestions helping me out of this problem.
Ã
Thanks,
Regards,
Roger
Hello Roger,
I use Mozilla Firefox as my browser instead of Internet explorer and do not
have the problem.
Under the View heading at the top of the screen my settings are:
Page Style = Basic Page Style
Character Encoding = Unicode (UTF-8)
Under the Tools heading at the top of the page I go to
Options, then click on Content.
My basic font setting is Times New Roman.
Then I click on Advanced,
Here I click on a font setting "Allow pages to choose their own fonts,
instead of my selections"
Cheers from Australia
