I just ran the pdf through Google's translation service, and published the

Definitely not the best translation you could ever get (lost most of the
layout for example), but I think you'll be able to get the gist of it.



If not, you could consider sending an e-mail to professor Schrijver, asking
him if an English translation of his oration is available (you can find his
addy at the end of the pdf).
