Beste Twentse Lowlanders,

 Een van mijn moeder’s meest gebruikte gezegden (vooral waar het mijn broer
betrof) klonk zo:

“La mar lös, la mar valln”

 Ik ben een stukje aan het vertalen waarin het gezegde “Let it all hang out”
voorkomt. In het stuk bedoelt de vrouw die het zegt zoiets van “Laat het
allemaal maar wapperen als dat je gelukkig maakt”, maar iedere keer dat ik
naar het stuk kijk heb ik dat gezegde van mijn moeder in mijn hoofd. Mijn
vraag aan jullie is nu: Kan ik die uitdrukking gebruiken of zit ik er
helemaal naast.

 En als ik de uitdrukking gebruiken kan; hoe schrijf ik hem dan.

 Zoals jullie ziet; een probleem, maar wel een leuk probleem. Kan iemand van
jullie mij helpen?
