Zo goed ik weet noemt men dit verschil: simple present (SP) en present
continuous (PC).

Het eerste voorbeeld geeft weer dat je nu *gewoon* aan het eten bent. Het
tweede voorbeeld geeft aan dat je *speciaal op dit moment* aan het eten
bent.

Ik eet nu (SP)

Ik ben nu aan het eten (PC)

Ik ben nu etende (PC)
