No wrath.  But no! somebody else's turn!  There are roughly 65 million
English speakers in the Union, and something like 115 million German
speakers. No contest if we base it on numbers.

But of course, an independant England would need to re-negotiate membership
of the EU anyway.....

Actually, I fancy Danish for the role.  That, or Frisian (OK I know there's
more than one but we could sort of blend them).
