The idea that Punk was some kind of vanguard of socialist egalitarianism is,
like most back-histories, pure fairytale.  There never was a cause; that was
the whole point. I'll bet my left one that every single member of the
original Sex Pistols audience would have grabbed the money and run, if the
chance came their way.

Let's keep these old and silly stereotypes - no one with brain will take

To be trapped within that modern stupid "political correctness" is much
worse, I think.

Jonny, the problem is that most people don't even try to use their brains
anywhere near capacity, and it is this majority that takes stereotyping of
that sort seriously. Just look at the comments posted after any online news
article.

Complaints about "political correctness" are getting as old as the
prehistoric views they are supposed to justify.
