Beste Luc,

Ik heb echt genoten van de manier waarop evolutie wordt voorgesteld.
Ik voeg er evenwel graag aan toe:
No Dutch without the Flemish!
De meeste geleerden, en ook vele kunstenaars, in het Nederland van de 16de -
17de eeuw waren Vlamingen.
Wat mijn stad Oostende betreft: nagenoeg de gehele bevolking is in 1604, na
het Beleg door de Spanjaarden, uitgeweken naar Walcheren (nl. Vlissingen,
Middelburg, Veere).
