Beste jullie allen, beste Luc,

En er kan nog aan toegevoegd worden: het Frans "dinde", "dindon" uit d'
Inde, uit Indië.
Ik herinner mij ook "kalkoen": Calcutse hoen....
En ook dit nog: de kalkoen komt oorspronkelijk uit Amerika, was dit niet
het lievelingsgerecht van de Azteken: kalkoen met mole (de
chocoladesaus...). Die heb ik nog in Mexico gegeten!

B.t.w. Luc, jouw familienaam, "Hellinckx", was een voorkomende en
belangrijke familienaam in het middeleeuwse Oostende.
