Nee, nee beste Dick,
again wrong, the correct URL is:
http://nds-nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veurblad
But thanks anyway - I've got over it.
Obviously: there, the terms "Leeg Saksies, Leeg Duuts" are used in the
sense of 2. a) in my posting, i. e.
2. a) *leeg ~ laeg ~ laag* EN low DE Nieder-, Mod. NL laag (niet hoog).
In the words of Dr Noordegraaf:
"Leeg Duits (of Saksisch -jk) wordt ook hier in oppositie met Nederduits
(=Dutch - jk) gebruikt om de gewone volkstaal aan te duiden."
In *Algemeen Beschaaft Nederlands (ABN)* perhaps better put as "*Laag *
Saksisch".
Nevertheless am I not able to catch the deeper meaning or intention of the
term "Leeg=Laag" in those cases. Wouldn't do it the usual "Nedersaksisch"
(or even "Saksisch in Nederland") in that case?
The term "Nether German(ic)" or "Lowlandic" / "Laag Duits" or "Laaglands"
would however suite very well as generic / topic for all languages
developed out of the Dutch and Low German (Lower Frankish and Saxon)
spreaking region(s), once dialect continuum. For my sake, insular
Anglo-Saxon included.
Met echt-westfœlsken »Goutgaun!«
