Beste allen,

In de 17de eeuw was het in Vlaanderen in elk geval nog een "zuivere" S en
NIET  "SJ" ! En zo is het altijd geweest!
De "sjt" en "sjn" klinken bij ons asl Duits en ze zijn ook Duits!
In "vlaggestok" ligt het anders omdat dit woord niet komt uit VLAGSTOK maar
uit VLAGGE + STOK.
Bij ons aan de West-vlaamse kust zegt men trouwens nog steeds FLAGGE,
Nederlands VLAG.
