Dear everyone,
Change of plans: I have decided that I will not be able to make it to
ICSTLL 48, but I will definitely attend SEALS 25 in Chiang Mai. (I
have already completed my bookings.)
Since there won't be a dedicated HM workshop, I will go ahead and
submit my abstract on Na Meo for the main SEALS conference.
Best wishes,
Andrew

I'd also like to talk about the possibility of putting together a special issue - perhaps of JSEALS, but good to think about other ideas too - and about whether that kind of thing is best related to a particular theme or left more open.

A pre-conference workshop at the Sino-Tibetan meeting makes more sense, since whether or not HM/MY is part of ST is an open question: we are more peripheral there. Maybe we can discuss the possibility of organizing a workshop at a future SEALS meeting on a focused topic, like HM discourse, HM & language contact, or the like. What do you think?
