Nahuatl names

Greetings JF Schwaller,

As a teacher at a high school with many immigrant students from Mexico,
I at times have students with Indian names such as Xochitl,
Xochiquetzal, Cuahtemoc, etc.  This year I have a young lady with the
name of Itzel.  She assure the name is Aztec.  Are you able to give me
any info on this name?
