CNN report on Aztecs

My first impression is

1) How come they know ***all the details*** about what apparently happened?

2) So much of this reads like something gleaned from so many other 
tales about the Aztecs.

Otherwise, Tecuaque does look like "they ate someone (i.e., people)'
