The tropes of this short overview left my thoughts reeling (rural v.
urban,  burning of literature,  etc) as well as questioning their accuracy.

Two comments:

1) A fairly US-American point of view,  perhaps a diaspora perspective.
Plenty of Nahuatl in the Zocalo in the past year,  at least in the events I
go to :).

2)  From the position of a a hyperglot:   a serious attempt at well-done
computer aided learning tools,  carefully matched to those who would use
them,  might accomplish quite a bit.
