Subject: A 2003 Otomanguean bibliography

Dear Colleagues,

with the help of Thomas C. Smith Stark, William R. Merrifield, Annette
Veerman-Leichsenring, and Scott Berthiaume I have put together a
preliminary bibliography of Otomanguean languages. It comprises 106 pages.
The bulk of it is identical with the bibliographies in Panorama de los
estudios de las lenguas indígenas de México. Otopamean is still largely
lacking and for intries later than 1993 it is incomplete. Also, there's
still some editing of the format etc. to do. I'll send the manuscript upon
request to anyone interested (please specify your preferred format--.doc,
.wpd, .htm, .rtf or whatever). In return, I hope to receive new entries
from you. They need not be numerous. Titles of presentations at conferences
are also welcome, indeed anything of relevance to Otomanguean studies. If
you provide me with new entries your name will be placed among the names of
the contributors (the order of names listed corresponds to the number of
entries each have provided). The bibliography will be constantly updated--I
expect to announce updates on this list once a year--and some fine day it
will be put on the web or printed.
