The Notion of an Object
Criteria for Objecthood in Philosophy, Linguistics, and Cognitive Science
May 20-21, Reid Hall, conference room, 4 rue Chevreuse Paris 75006

La notion d'objet est aujourd'hui au coeur d'un débat nourri au carrefour 
de la philosophie, de la sémantique et des sciences cognitives. Ce colloque 
est l'occasion de présenter différentes perspectives sur cette notion, et 
d'initier une discussion interdisciplinaire concernant ses usages et sa 
pertinence. Il est organisé conjointement par l'Institut Jean-Nicod 
(CNRS/EHESS/ENS) et Reid Hall.
The notion of an object is much debated notion at the crossroad of 
philosophy, linguistic semantics, and cognitive science. This workshop will 
act as forum for presentations of different perspectives of the notion and 
an interdisciplinary discussion of its uses and its relevance. The workshop 
is coorganized by Institut Jean-Nicod (CNRS/EHESS/ENS) and Reid Hall.
