Dear colleague,
If you are not yet a member of AFLS, why not consider becoming one?
Membership of the Association brings you numerous benefits including:
> Cahiers: AFLS online journal carrying the Association's news and
refereed articles;
> The international Journal of French Language Studies (JFLS)
published by Cambridge University Press;
> The possibility of joining research projects and exchanging research
information;
> A reduced rate for annual conferences that alternately take place in
French-speaking or English-speaking countries (2000: Québec, 2004:
Birmingham GB, 2005: Chambéry, 2006: Bristol GB, 2007:
Boulognes-sur-Mer
)
> The possibility of organizing or taking part in frequent workshops;
> News of developments in research and in language teaching in other
institutions and other countries;
The standard rate remains £35, and the reduced rate for postgraduates,
part-timers, the retired and unwaged is £25 (56 or 40 if paying in
euros). The renewal form can be downloaded from our website
(http://www.afls.net/membership.html). We accept payment by VISA card
(which will be particularly convenient for those of you who live
abroad). As before, you can also pay by cheque or standing order.
It is particularly worth noting that, while AFLS membership only costs
£35, an individual annual subscription just to the Journal of French
Language Studies costs £42 (or $65) if ordered through Cambridge
University Press directly. More information on the Association and its
activities, as well as a downloadable membership form, is available on
our website:
http://www.afls.net
Best regards,
AFLS committee members
