The biannual conference on Laboratory Approaches to Romance Phonology (LARP) seeks to bring together international researchers interested in all areas of Romance phonetics and phonology, in particular within the  laboratory phonology approach. In the past decades, research in the  laboratory phonology paradigm has expanded significantly so that the  disciplines of phonetics and phonology are being investigated from a unique  interdisciplinary angle. LARP aims at providing an interdisciplinary forum  for world-wide research focusing on the experimental investigation of  Romance phonetics and phonology and their related areas, such as language  acquisition, language variation and change, prosody, speech pathology,  speech technology, as well as the phonology-phonetics interface.

LARP VII will be hosted for the first time in Europe, by the Laboratoire Parole et Langage <http://www.lpl.univ-aix.fr/>  (LPL) in Aix-en-Provence, and will be the result of a joint effort between Aix-Marseille University (Aix-en-Provence, France) and the  Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona, Spain).

La conférence biannuelle sur Laboratory Approaches to Romance Phonology (LARP VII) vise à réunir des chercheurs internationaux qui s'intéressent à tous les domaines de de la phonétique et la phonologie des langues romanes, en particulier dans l'approche de la phonologie de laboratoire. Dans les dernières deux décennies, les recherches dans le paradigme de la phonologie de laboratoire se sont  étendues de manière significative de manière à que la phonétique et la phonologie soient étudiées sous un angle interdisciplinaire et unique. LARP vise à fournir un forum de discussion interdisciplinaire pour la recherche mondiale dans ​​l'étude expérimentale de la phonétique et la phonologie romanes et leurs domaines connexes, tels que : l'acquisition du langage, la variation et le changement linguistique, la prosodie, les pathologies du langage, les technologies de la parole, ainsi que l’interface phonétique interface.

LARP VII sera organisé pour la première fois en Europe, par le Laboratoire Parole et Langage <http://www.lpl-aix.fr/>  à Aix-en-Provence, et sera le résultat de l’effort conjoint entre l'Université d'Aix-Marseille (LPL, Aix-en-Provence, France) et l'Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelone, Espagne), avec Pilar Prieto du Departement de Traduction et Sciences du Langage.
