Le LabEx EFL (Empirical Foundations of Linguistics, http://www.labex-efl.org/) recrute un chercheur post-doctoral  "Syntaxe ou sémantique empirique: approches quantitatives et expérimentales », 
à temps plein pour une durée de 12 mois, renouvelable selon les résultats. 
Lieu d’affectation : Laboratoire de Linguistique Formelle (LLF), Paris

Ce poste relève de l'axe « Grammaire Expérimentale » du Labex  EFL. 

Le chercheur postdoctoral proposera un projet en syntaxe ou sémantique empirique s’inscrivant dans une des opérations suivantes :

- Préférences concernant l’ordre des mots dans les langues romanes et germaniques (WO1) resp B. Crabbé
- Alternance entre phrases elliptiques et phrases complètes (SA3) resp. A. Abeillé
- Pluralité et quantification (PLU) resp. C. Sorin
- Résolution d’anaphore (ANA) resp. B. Hemforth
- Traitement, acquisition et typologie des relative (REL) resp. C. Donati

Le candidat doit connaitre les théories syntaxiques et sémantiques théoriques  ainsi que les méthodes empiriques (grands corpus annotés ou expériences) et les statistiques. Il ou elle devra accomplir un travail quantitatif sur corpus et/ou des expériences sur plusieurs langues.

Le candidat devra présenter un potentiel de recherche exceptionnel. La connaissance du français est un plus. Il ou elle devra avoir soutenu sa thèse au plus tard le 1er décembre 2015.

En fonction des résultats, le poste peut être renouvelé pour 12 mois supplémentaires.

The Labex EFL (Empirical Foundations of Linguisitics, www.labex-efl.org/) recruits a postdoctoral researcher.
It is a full time position for 12 months. Depending on the results, the position may be renewed for another 12 months. 
Job location : Laboratoire de Linguistique Formelle, Paris.

The position is provided by the strand « Experimental Grammar » of the Labex EFL project. 

The postdoctoral fellow will propose a research program in empirical syntax or semantics in relation with one of the following workpackages:
word order preferences in Romance and Germanic languages (WO1) resp B. Crabbé
alternation between elliptical and full clauses (SA3) resp. A. Abeillé
plurality and quantification (PLU) resp. C. Sorin
anaphor resolution (ANA) resp. B. Hemforth
processing, acquisition and typology of relative clauses (REL) resp. C. Donati

The applicant is expected to have knowledge of  theoretical syntax and semantics, as well as empirical methods: corpus linguistics with annotated data or experiments, and statistics. S/He is expected to carry quantitative and statistical work from annotated corpora and/or design experiments in several languages.

The applicant will have to demonstrate an exceptional research potential. A good knowledge of French is an additional asset and the applicant must have defended his/her Phd by December 1st 2015.
Depending on the results, the position may be renewed for another 12 months.
