The JENom workshops originate in France, which explains its French
acronym (*Journées
d'Études sur les Nominalisations*). The first five editions were held in Nancy,
Lille, Paris 8, Stuttgart and Barcellona. This year's JeNom will be
organized by the University of Verona and the University of Bologna, and
will be held in Verona on June 30-July 1, 2015.

JENom traditionally aims at bringing together researchers who are concerned
with the morphology, syntax and semantics of nominalizations of eventive
verbs. However, recent editions significantly broadened the focus of the
workshop so as to include a larger variety of related topics and
constructs. JENom6 will continue along these lines.

We invite submissions on morphological, syntactic and/or semantic aspect of
the study of *nominals* – nouns, nominalizations, noun phrases – in various
languages and theoretical frameworks. Topics include, but are not limited
to the following:

1) *Structure and semantics of nominals*

-          Morphologically complex nouns

·         Semantic (/Aktionsart) classes of deverbal nouns

    Psychological / perception / state verbs and derived nouns

    Causation in derived nouns

·         Deadjectival and denominal nouns: morphological, syntactic and
semantic properties

·         Noun compounding, noun incorporation, noun reduplication

-          Underived nouns with event semantics

2) *The features of nominals*

-          Declension class

-          Gender

-          Number

-          Case

3) *Morphosyntax and semantics of nominals in broader constructions*

-          Light verb constructions

-          Cognate object constructions

-          Construct state constructions

Each talk will receive 30 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for
discussion. Abstracts should be anonymous and should not exceed 2 pages in
length (A4 or letter-size), in 12 pt. font, with 1-inch/2,5-cm margins,
including examples and references. The language of the submissions and the
presentations will be English.
