Yes, this is what I am looking for. It is not essential to be
able to migrate my old HyperCard scripts to a new
application.

with some advantages, but its by no means the only way.


Can you suggest some other alternatives to Revolution?
I am still working on evaluating Revolution, which is a
minor challenge in itself.

I would like to be able to combine text, sound, pictures,
video on a card (or whatever its replacement is), and then
allow the user to navigate with buttons (or whatever the
replacement is) from card to card.

It appears that once a document is developed in
Revolution, it can be ported from a Macintosh to other
platforms. That would be nice.  (There was a Windows
version of HyperCard, as you may recall. It was too dreadful
to develop anything in, but once you had a working stack, it
could be exported to the Windows envirnment reliably
enough.)
