Dear RNLD members
For those of you who don't know it, I recommend Andy Kolovos's
website 'Vermont Folklife Center audio field recording equipment
guide' <http://www.vermontfolklifecenter.org/res_audioequip.htm> .
See in particular his comments on solid state recorders (section ix).
As you may know PARADISEC has been trialling a range of digital field
recorders including the Marantz PMD670, the Sony Hi-MD and the Nagra
V. An interim report is posted on my wiki at <http://
luddite.cst.usyd.edu.au/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Linda/
InterimDigitalAudioReport> - it will eventually have images and
audio, but doesn't just yet.
