Ripping and such things

Can anyone recommend a good freeware program (pc, not Mac) to rip recordings
of speech off CDs from .cda format to .wav format?
Also, I've heard there is a good freeware program that will clean all the
motor noise, hissing and such from digitised copies of old LP records,
reel-to-reel tapes, cassettes and such. Or perhaps when digitizing older
media. Again, any recommendations?
Thanks for your help.
