Dear all,

This is to announce the release of ELAN version 3.8.0.

In this version new customization options have been added, like user
definable keyboard shortcuts and selection of the number of Subtitle
viewers. A first step has been taken in combining metadata and content
search on the local file system: the results of a metadata search
query can be loaded to define the domain for multiple file search
(i.e. all eaf files linked by the IMDI sessions in the metadata search
result).

It is now also possible to:
- delete all annotations, on all tiers, left or right of the crosshair
- select multiple annotations in the Timeline view and delete them
- define, store and load multiple file domains
- export per-file hit statistics from multiple file search
- change the way search results are exported from multiple file search
- import FieldWorks' FLEx files

The MacOS X Cocoa-QuickTime player is now ready for Java 1.6 and
(therefore for) Snow Leopard. (The installer may not work on Snow
Leopard, an unpack-and-run version of ELAN is available.)
