Reviews of two-channel field mixers

Dear RNLD Subscribers,

More and more linguists choose small solid-state recorders for their  
fieldwork. Many such recorders lack the appropriate interface for  
professional-grade speech recording microphones. I have reviewed two  
small, battery-powered field mixers that can be used with digital  
recorders to provide XLR inputs, clean gain, phantom power, and signal  
panning.
