A background in linguistics may be useful but is not essential.


Project/Office Manager

Mirima Dawang Woorlab-gerring Language and Culture Centre

Full Time Position commencing January 2011 (funded for initial 12 months)
Annual Salary Package: $75,859-$80,511 dependent on experience


Mirima Dawang Woorlab-gerring, Language and Culture Centre (located in Kununurra, Western Australia) works with the Traditional Owners of Miriwoong and Gajirrabeng country to maintain and revitalise local languages and cultures. We are currently looking for a committed staff member to join our team.

Under the direction of Mirima Traditional Elders and the Senior Linguist/Manager, the Project/Office Manager will undertake projects and assist with corporate management including financial management and staff supervision.

Duties include the preparation and submission of funding applications; working to build the organisation’s financial capacity; financial management and support with corporate governance. 

The salary package includes superannuation, district allowance, housing subsidy and annual airfare allowance.
