quicktime problem

Has anyone had this problem...

"I've been having some trouble with Quicktime lately - when I attempt  
to trim video to produce a short clip, the audio and video are out of  
sync. I've tried upgrading to the latest version and looking around  
for a solution but nothing seems to be helping. Has anyone else had  
this problem or know what might be going wrong?"
