[RNLD] Next Mirima Linguistic Forum 29 August 2019, 2pm in Kununurra

Dear all,

 

Mirima Dawang Woorlab-gerring Language and Culture Centre (MDWg) is happy to
announce our next Mirima Linguistic Forum this Thursday, with Frances Kofod
as our speaker with the following title:

 

Gajirrabeng - Boorrb-goo jemang joodi-joodib ngalamberrmi? 

'Have you finished writing quickly on the paper?' - Daisy Jandoony,
Gajirrabeng speaker, 1989

 

 

Please find the details attached, including an abstract and bio.

 

Visitors are more than welcome, though I appreciate that Kununurra may be a
long way from your base.

 

I am sure one day we will find a way to set up a video link or upload a
recording but for the time being it will be face-to-face only - sorry!
