More information and the application portal can be found here: APS5 Research Officer - 1690887 This is an exciting opportunity to put quantitative/mixed-method research skills into practice as part of a small team conducting a research project of national significance. The data generated from NILS4 will be used to report against Closing the Gap Target 16, inform government policy, and provide an evidence base to support community-led language strengthening efforts. The Research Officer will play an integral role in ensuring the data analysis accurately represents the state of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders languages. There will also be opportunities for publishing, as a co-author in AIATSIS?s NILS4 report as well as possible journal articles based on the research. We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates to apply, as well as anyone with experience working with Indigenous languages/data.
