SEASSI 2008 Teacher Hiring Announcement

Applications are being accepted for full-time Summer 2008 language teaching
positions in Burmese, Filipino, Hmong, Indonesian, Javanese, Khmer, Lao, Thai,
and Vietnamese, for the Southeast Asian Studies Summer Institute (SEASSI).
Employment begins on June 9, 2008 and will extend through August 10, 2008.
SEASSI is a national intensive language institute that teaches three levels of
nine Southeast Asian languages (over 30 courses) for 8 weeks during the
summers. SEASSI is overseen by a consortium of thirteen North American
universities that pool their resources and language teaching staff to support
this unique language institute. The University of Wisconsin-Madison is the
host for SEASSI 2008.
Each summer the institute offers instruction to between 150 to 200 students
and employs approximately 25 language instructors and coordinators. For
