The Linguistics Department of Thammasat University will hold the Thammasat
International Symposium on Language and Linguistics to be held on 23 September
2011. We invite national and international scholars to present papers on all
subjects regarding linguistics and language teaching.

The conference will be held in the Liberal Arts Building on the Tha Prachan
campus in the old heart of Bangkok near the Royal Palace and Royal Temple, the
Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Pho) and in the vicinity of many hotels.

A proceedings containing all papers will be produced and published in a
special issue of the /Journal of Language and Linguistics/.

Participants will be allocated 20 minutes for presentation, plus 10 minutes
for discussion. Deadline for abstracts: 29 April 2011, via email.

Notification of acceptance: 1 June 2011, via email.

*Format of Abstract*

Abstracts are preferably written using a Unicode font and should consist of
two or three pages as follows:

Paper's title

Abstract body (maximum 400 words). Be as specific as possible yet to the
point, with a statement of topic, approach, and conclusions.
