You should definitely have a look in chapters 2 and 3 of Zalizniak's excellent
"Ot praslavianskoi aktsentologii k russkoi". From what I remember he gives the
dual endings accentual values, with the stress of the word resulting from the
"struggle" between the morphemes - sometimes on -a, sometimes not. Also Dybo's
"Slavianskaia aktsentologiia" and some of his recent work has something. Check
also Garde's "Histroire de l'accentuation slave" although I don't recall
seeing anything there.
