Dear Literature Colleagues:
I teach an undergraduate course on Pasternak and Solzhenitsyn (as you
might remember from two earlier requests I've had in relation to this
course). One student wants to write her term paper on the Russian
reaction to DR. ZHIVAGO after it was finally published in Russia
(late 1980s). Of course, she only reads English.
Do any of you have suggestions as to literary journals, in English,
which might/do contain such reviews?
I am asking because someone out there might have been teaching
Pasternak back then, or has already come across such journals. Even
suggestions about places to try would be helpful. She will, of
course, then find the journals and look and see if they have anything
of interest.
Please respond directly to her. Her name is Lisa Tobin and her email
is lmtobin at mailbox.syr.edu
Thank you.
