A partial answer to your question; my copy is on VHS but w/o subtitles.  I
bought it at Black Sea Video in Brighton Beach.

(I take it you saw some of the titles in the recent touring festival of
women filmmakers of the FSU called something like "Russian Sisters"). It was
here in Chicago in October.

Here's a list of stores including Black Sea Video; perhaps one of these
outlets offers  it w/ subtitles.
