A few questions on securing copyright for Russian texts. Example: you're
creating a reader based on a canonical text which was published by the
Academy's "Nauka" imprint in the Soviet period. The reader will use the
Academy-edited and prepared Russian text.
-What department handles these requests?
-Are there any electronic (beyond telephone) means of contact? Email, fax, etc.?
-Are there any typical pitfalls to avoid?
If you've gone through this process recently and can offer advice, please
respond off-list.
