        JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Possible tenure-track position, Assistant Professor of Russian.

The candidate must have PhD in hand by June 1998. Experience in teaching
in American academic environment is essential. Must have native-like
command of Russian and be capable of teaching all levels of language,
literature, and culture in both Russian and English. A specialization in
poetry, the nineteenth century, or contemporary Russian literature is
desirable. Knowledge of Czech useful but not essential. Please send vitae and 3
